COMPANY OVERVIEW: Jexium Ltd. provides advisory and management services to multilateral development banks, private institutional asset owners and managers. We provide technical assistance to and through development finance institutions in the context of infrastructure project and climate finance for governments in developing countries. Our current focus is on launching a series of private credit funds for climate-related investments in non-OECD countries. The fund intends to focus on providing capital to (1) hard-to-abate industrial sectors and (2) large non-industrial commercial and institutional properties by financing the cleantech plant equipment and infrastructure needed to eliminate GHG emissions and transition to renewable energy.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
+ Led the identification and evaluation of 12 potential high-integrity Scope 1 and 2 carbon offset projects ($5M to $80M) in voluntary and compliance markets, prioritizing those with equitable socioeconomic benefits for local communities
+ Researched international governance structures and processes, including relevant policies, to assess project compliance with country National Adaptation Plans and NDCs under the Paris Agreement
+ Created and pitched technical and financial project proposals to development financial institutions (ADB, KfW, NDF), climate funding agencies (GCF, GEF), government agencies, and other investors, ensuring proposals incorporated considerations for just transition principles, such as worker retraining programs and community development initiatives.
+ Worked in close collaboration with country stakeholders to develop an international multi-industry project pipeline (e.g., carbon abatement from coal mines in India; conversion to hybrid minibus fleets in the Philippines; and installation of onsite solar, battery storage, and energy efficiency systems in the U.S. and Europe)
+ Represented the fund at industry conferences, events, and working groups including Climate Week NYC 2022
